BPCC and Louisiana Tech University signed an Education Pathway Partnership Agreement
Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) and Louisiana Tech University signed an Education Pathway Partnership Agreement Monday, Oct. 26, to expand undergraduate educational opportunities and create a smoother transfer process for students.
The agreement will allow students who earn associate degrees from BPCC in arts, general studies or science to transfer credits to Louisiana Tech. Eligible programs include concentrations in social science, general science, natural science and teaching grades 1-5.
“It’s a valued partnership,” said Dr. Wendi Palermo, BPCC vice chancellor for academic affairs and institutional effectiveness and provost. “This partnership extends beyond transfer pathways, strengthening the relationships between our institutions and creating opportunities for students, faculty and staff through campus events, advisory boards, trainings and professional development workshops.”
Dr. Donna Thomas, Louisiana Tech provost and vice president for academic affairs, also expressed enthusiasm for the agreement, recognizing the faculty and administrators who helped establish the partnership and the opportunities it will create for BPCC students as they transition to Louisiana Tech and become Bulldogs.
